An Active, Multi-Discipline Shooting Club for Everyone

Based in the Old Sergeants' Mess at Bisley, the OSM Shooting Club is a busy and thriving club open to members of all backgrounds, ages and abilities.

We welcome everyone who is interested in shooting, whatever your background or ability.
Whether you are a game hunter looking for range time to zero rifles, a military service rifle enthusiast keeping old skills alive or an accuracy-craving precision target shooter hitting the VBull at 1000 yards, we have the facilities and knowledge base to support you in your interest. If you've never shot before and want to learn, the OSM has everything you need to start and gain skills & experience.

The Old Sergeants' Mess itself is a beautiful colonial building from the late 19th Century.
With a licensed bar, cosy fireplace and open veranda, the OSM is ideal for warming up in winter or chilling out in summer. We serve hot food and snacks on shoot days and at other times by request. We hold regular curry nights on Fridays and our summer barbeques have a great reputation. The clubhouse is also available to hire for courses, meetings, parties and other functions.

Club Activity

The OSM is an active and multi-discipline club, with shoots every week at various distances.
Whether you enjoy the social aspect of a busy club shoot or a quiet session on the range, you can use the shoots to zero rifles, practice your skills or just have fun: It is up to you.

Membership

At the OSM we welcome new members of all backgrounds, ages and abilities. Whether you are a professional or have never touched a rifle before, we can provide everything you need to start or continue shooting. Membership gives you access to club facilities, plus all the social benefits.

Club Facilities

With cosy sofas by the fireplace in winter and the veranda for warmer weather, the OSM clubhouse is the perfect place to relax when you are at Bisley. We are open at weekends and any other time by prior arrangement. The clubhouse is also available for hire for functions, with bar and catering.

Training

For new shooters we run a formal probationary training course. We also run special themed training sessions and always encourage our members improve their marksmanship. If there is something you want to learn more about, we can organise training to suit your needs. We have a number of members who are professionals in the gun trade and many of our instructors have Armed Forces or Police backgrounds.

With a range of shooting and catering options, we can tailor the event to suit your group, interest and budget and will supply everything you need for your group to have an enjoyable day. Affiliation

Whether you are based in another part of the country and need somewhere to relax at Bisley, or you are a small club and would like the ease of joining us on our shoots, you are most welcome. We book the ranges, supply the range officers and even the rifles if necessary, and you and your members just turn up. We will tailor the arrangement to suit your club's needs.
