Training

New Shooters

For new shooters we run a formal probationary training course. This involves a day of introductory training, both theory and practical, and is designed to give you the skills and confidence you need to shoot safely and successfully.

Once completed, new members are then welcome to attend as often as they wish, with coaching and instruction provided on an individual basis.  After completing a number of shoots and learning about the important aspects of safety, range procedure and of course marksmanship, we then run a second training day.

By the end of this process, typically six months to a year, members should have all the skills and knowledge necessary to pass an assessment and gain certification: Permission to shoot without direct supervision.  Contact us for further details.

Experienced Shooters

There is always more to learn about shooting, and even the best of us must practice and learn to continue to improve.  We have a number of members who are professionals in the gun trade, or Army or Police instructors and who are more than welcome to provide personal coaching and help you improve your skills.

We run special themed training sessions and always encourage our members improve their marksmanship.  In addition to formal training, we run regular workshops and themed lessons to help our members improve their knowledge and abilities. If there is something you want to learn about, we have a number of experts on hand to help.
We try to encourage members to try other disciplines, gain wider skills and continuously improve their marksmanship.

If there is something you want to learn more about, we can organise training to suit your needs.
